Listing an item and received error message "Because Item is Susceptible to Price Gouging, It may only be sold by Authorized Sellers. Do Not Relist this Item". ???!!! HUH? (P.S. If it matters, I was only listing it for $25.00)
This is a hand painted Glass Christmas Tree Ornament. Price Gouging? Authorized Sellers?! SO now I can't list Christmas Ornaments? What the heck! I'm scared to try again by changing the name, or something, because I'm afraid of getting my account throttled or banned... HELP Please!

If tech support can help, I have it saved as a draft....

What category are you listing this in?
What did you write in the header of the listing?

Listed in Category: Ornaments>in Collectibles > Holiday & Seasonal
I originally titled it: Large Mouth Blown Hand Painted Limited Ed. Fox Ornament, #417/3,000.... But when I got that message I was looking at the listing very closely and realized it's actually a Squirrel, not a fox.... I edited my draft to say "Squirrel", but I have not tried to relist... Because I'm afraid to 🙂

The really weird thing, is I listed another one, almost identical of Deer, and it went through just fine.

These issues come from the bots which pick up on certain key words, or the category. I'm afraid I see nothing wrong with the category you chose nor with your wording. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance. Hoping someone else will come along who can figure this out....

So I should not try and relist, correct? I mean even if I take new pictures with different background, etc... it may still connect it, correct? This sucks, because it's a sister piece to another one I already have listed. 😕 So I'm thinking do I pull the other one down too, and maybe try listing them on etsy or mercari? I've been meaning to try out other sites.... because tbh eBay is getting so hard to justify continuing to use...

What were some of the key words you used in your title?
Personally, I wouldn't recommend relisting until you figure out what is triggering the block.

@stacy_pme I wouldn't post this same ornament again because apparently something is triggering the warning, but it seems to be in error.
I wouldn't pull the other ornament because (A) there's no warning on that listing and (B) not everyone wants to purchase two ornaments so why not just sell that one. Once the first ornament sells you can let that buyer know that you have a second ornament in case they are interested.
If I were you, I would reach out to eBay using social media. Those reps have access to your account and can give you the correct reason as to why this particular listing was pulled. Use either link below. Hopefully you can come back to post the results in order to help out another seller. Best of luck to you....

Your Fox-squirrel hybrid reminds me of the rabbit-mouse hybrid we saw on this board a few days ago. (Btw it Looks like a fox to me too)
Price gouging is supposed to only be for essential items which this definitely isn't.... it's like some sort of glitch or maybe the title keywords made them think you're selling a large mouth mask or something weird. Lol...That really sucks I would just try to get ahold of eBay somehow about it.

If you haven't even listed it,,,sure sounds like you haven't...and it's just a draft that won't list, why not try it as a brand new listing and see if you get the same message? If you've already listed one, it's probably a mistake.
Not mentioned...did you use Sell Similar from your successful one?

And, BTW. You can't get in trouble for listing something when you can't even list it in the first place.
Nobody gets infractions from drafts.

Update: I contacted Ebay For Business, and they helped me in minutes.... Basically, it was the word "mouth" LOL! That's what was throwing it off, so they recommended I remove "Mouth Blown", and also recommend I remove it from the successfully listed one.... but that was apparently the culprit 🙂 I looked at it again, it's definately a squirrel! LOL!
