When searching for items, non-domestic items are being shown first. Specifically from The United Kingdom today. I am located in Niagara Falls, NY. I believe this is a known issue. Have others noticed this?
Cheers, Josh

For the past week I have noticed not only this but it will show me all the US items in Pounds and I look at the URL and it still shows the US ebay site something something is messed up.

Check your customize setting for search results. There is a setting to show listings in their origin currency instead of US Dollars, perhaps it has been turned on.

Hi Jimmy,
I do not believe this is the issue but thank you for this. At times Australian items will only show up in the first three pages of search, this week it is UK items … it has even been Ukraine items showing up first. Dozens of high volume sellers have been reporting this issue and it coincides with very low sales/watcher days. Conversely, overseas sellers are reporting that their searches are showing US items first.
This can be fixed by toggling your item search to ‘local’ or ‘US items’ only, but 99.99% of casual eBay buyers won’t do that.
If a casual US buyer searches an item on eBay, and they are only shown UK items that have $80 shipping to the US, they will simply go elsewhere and not bother.
Sellers have noticed this issue because they do comp searches on the site while researching items. I have been told that this is s known issue that they are working to resolve. However, while searching today for comparable items, the search yield results from The Russian Federation, Canada, and the UK first.
Sellers are concerned because their items may only show up on page 4, which most buyers do not make it to. For my store, I have noticed these inconsistencies in my sales. I often have 24 hour stretches with no watchers or sales.
Anyway, I believe they are working to address this. I am writing this in an optimistic and heuristic manner, and I believe that eBay techies will ultimately solve the issue.

Devon@ebay is there an open ticket on this search issue? I appreciate your time. Cheers!

Here is a photo example of a search I just conducted. All the items on the first 3 pages are from the United Kingdom. Items are sorted by Best Match. Once you get to the 4th page, it will begin showing US listings. devon@ebay , @urban_picker , @slippinjimmy

Been told by an ebay rep and seen for myself that search is a huge mess since Wednesday morning. My sales have been cut almost in half because of these issues.

I just ran your search "ted baker purse" (no quotes), all I got were Ted Baker Purses and on the first page only one or two were not from US sellers and they were down the list.

Hi @slippinjimmy , I just ran the search again and all my results are UK. I don't know where you are located, but it seems to be an issue in the Northeast and Central US. I did several other searches today with the same results. I am located in Niagara Falls NY. In the 23 years that I have been on eBay, it is only a problem I have experienced in the last year or so.

Are you searching on ebay.com or ebay.ca? Which site you use may affect the sort order of items that appear in Best Match.
