Hello All,
Today as I changed my password on ebay, something happened.
I opened my account back in 1999 on ebay.com, because there was no ebay.it back then. So my account has always been on both marketplaces. I access normally from ebay.it, but many times the website turns to English. My selling account was activated many years ago as well, and I sell one or two items a year.
Suddenly today, when the website was on the US site, I tried to sell one item, and I got a response saying I have limitations as a seller because my selling account had just been activated (I am too new)...
I've got 160+ positive feedbacks (100%) most of them as a buyer, but you can see reading them that I have many feedbacks as a seller too, and some of them are pretty old, so it's frankly odd to read the customer support messages saying "Just request a limitation raise" or "I can see that your selling account was activated today", I mean just have a look at the old seller feedbacks...!
In my opinion, my account is split in 2, there is a ebay.it side and a ebay.com side. The selling account on ebay.it was operating normally until today, and now the ebay.com side has taken over, and my selling history doesn't count anymore.
I'm 100% Italian and live in Italy, I don't need ebay.com, but I don't want to waste 22 years of ebay history and feedbacks just because ebay has a clear BUG...
Anyone able to help...?

You haven't sold anything in awhile so they consider you a new seller and will have selling limits.

My seller account on eBay.it is rated “above average”…

I see…
But this way if someone wants to sell one or two items when needed and once in a while, it will be impossible.
How long would it be “awhile”…? I sold last item about 3-4 months ago.

How low is your limit? If your limit has been lowered to $10, that would indicate you need to contact eBay to provide additional information or verify your account.
Otherwise sellers can still sell up to the limit, and then request to raise the limit.
New sellers can sell, as can old sellers that have not sold in a while, they are just subject to certain limitations as all sellers are to one degree or another.

It has not been lowered. They say my selling account was activated today, but accessing from eBay.it I have been able to sell stuff back in 2005, and on.
Just because my selling account had been activated on eBay.it and not on eBay.com, the system shows my account is new, while having a look at the feedbacks you can see I have very old transactions as a seller…
There is definitely something wrong.

You might want to ask your question on the eBay Canada site.
Many of us were registered on dotCOM before we had our own national site, and when we switched to Managed Payments, this caused problems.
For MP you need a checking account with an Italian bank.
You may have to move your registration from dotCOM to dotIT.
You will still be able to list on dotCOM (or any eBay site).
The reason for asking on dotCA is that we are used to dealing with differences between the US site (here) and a "foreign" site, while our (respected) US colleagues have different problems.
The restriction on new, occasional and returning sellers is non-negotiable. But you can ask that the restrictions be lifted every 30 days.
