I've been with Ebay for about 15 years as a seller and buyer. For the past few weeks, I've tried to get the funds for an item I sold recently. I tried to add my bank account to receive payouts, but it was unsuccessful. It gave me a message...
I chat with customer service and their suggestions didn't work. I spoke with someone on the phone and nothing didn't work so they suggested to add a new bank account. I didn't have another one at the time. I opened a new bank account to receive my funds and still doesn't work. I can get into the log in page on my bank account and shows the right last digits of my account. However, once I click to use the bank account for payouts and click continue, it gives me an error message. I tried twice. Since is not working with either bank account, I think there's something wrong with Ebay. I wish we should of stay sending payments with PayPal. I wouldn't have this issue. Very frustrating.

Common problems when adding a checking account for managed payments include such things as differences between spelling of the full name -- the names including any middle name or initial must match exactly between eBay and the checking account. It must be an actual checking account. The proper ACH routing number must be specified -- that is not always the same as the routing number on the checks. The address on the account must be a street address, not a PO Box, and the address must match the address on the eBay account.
I believe that your phone number and email address must be verified in order to sign up for managed payments -- check your account settings to make sure those are marked as verified:

Just for fun I just checked my account and my email is verified but my phone number is not. Never been asked to verify it.
When I signed up with Managed Payments I had to change my registration address to my physical address which will NOT show up as my address on my bank account because I have a PO Box and do not receive any mail at my physical address. So now if I reach the $600 level next year eBay will probably want to mail my 1099 to my physical address and it won't get delivered. Also IRS probably wouldn't recognize address because PO Box is on all my tax forms.
Could they make this whole process any more complicated? Why do they let sellers sell something before they have signed up completely for Managed Payments.
Taking a break and watching last episode of "Tulsa King" and this line in the show made me burst out laughing ... if this isn't so true I don't know what is .... "This is why people break the law because they make everything legitimate so friggin complicated".
