Inventory numbers mysteriously inflated!!!

I just had a situation this morning where my quantity numbers were inflated mysteriously!  I have been a Power Seller for almost 20 years.  I have an ongoing listing with variations and this morning someone bought an item from the listing.  When I went to fulfill the order I didn't have the inventory.  I then realized all the quantities for all the variations were 100+.  I didn't make this change!  I immediately changed my password.  Has anyone else had this happen???

I understand it is a widespread issue - what is being done about it?

This issue is supposed to be resolved.  

eBay staff answered questions on this topic during weekly chat on Wednesday.

Some which were not edited or revised don't seem to have reverted to correct qty after the supposed "fix".
