Invalid html... message when pasting quotes from ebay policy or listing etc.

I am sick of this.

I write a reply to a topic that might have a quote from an ebay policy, a listing, or even another reply, and when clicking on the Reply button I get the "invalid html... it has been removed check and repost message", along with the "Correct highlighted errors" one (Nothing is Highlighted).  When I do then I get a warning about flooding the boards. 

It does not happen all of the time, and it usually happens on the Knowledge Base boards, but sometimes it happens on the Discussion boards. I messaged a mod about the problem, who said they would pass it on to the appropriate people.  If they did, the appropriate people haven't done anything about it.

Lately there have been several glitches on the boards most occurring since Khoros started being used and the changes made, not to mention the ones on the rest of the site.  

I don't know what the IT dept. does, but instead of redesigning or "fixing" things that are not broken, they need to address the things that are not working.

I'm so frustrated I completely forgot to mention;

Four times in the last few weeks I have signed out of my selling ID, which once in every 5th blue moon I use to post on the boards with.  Then I sign in again with this ID come over to these boards and see My selling ID showing in the upper right.  If I mouse over the Hi name v drop down in the upper left it shows this username and the shark photo I use.  

All of that after having to use the Captcha when logging in or switching IDs every time I've logged in for the last 2 months.

I use a computer and login the classic way. My browser, Fire Fox, is up to date, as is my operating system Windows 10, I have a utility that clears my temp internet files and cookie cache every night, as well as a good anti-virus malware utility that runs in the back ground (I've tried disabling it) and still have the problems.

Khoros/Lithium have run the discussion boards since 2013.  The name at the bottom-right of the page still said Lithium for a long time after Khoros bought them, but it's been Khoros for a long time. Perhaps the failure to update the Lithium logo to Khoros was a foreshadowing of these significant issues.

But the escalating, persistent glitches have come along in just the past couple of months. I agree that the problems with quotes are the most annoying and intrusive.  Sometimes I don't even try; I just leave the entire quote in and use bold or red to highlight the part that matters to the discussion. Or copy and past with italics as I did here.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know Khoros had bought Lithium. I thought ebay had brought in yet another service.

While I've experienced a few problems when quoting from within a topic, I've usually been able to get it to work. I've had it happen when I C&P a reply from someone else's replies from other active topics and even from a weekly chat.  When I have to open a new tab to get a quote from a policy or try to use my saved lists is when i have the most problems. How is a quote from an  http/ebay... an invalid html? 

  Until a few months ago, I only ran into the issue once in awhile. Now it happens almost daily, and it is frustrating as all get out.   Especially, when it takes me 10 minutes to log out from my selling ID and back in again, only to find my selling ID is showing on the boards. but the login HI Name, in the upper left shows this user name.  I switch between them often during a day, and on a couple of occasions I haven't noticed until after a reply is made showing the other ID.

I'm not even going to get into the issues on the selling pages that I've had.
