Testing has turned up another error in the new Listing form, this one involving an un-displayed charge for an International site listing within the Sell It Faster section of the form. The other extra-cost options will display their fees if activated via their slide switches, and will also (after a few seconds) update their descriptions with a new sentence mentioning the fee. (When not activated, the descriptions do not mention their fees.)
In the procedure and screenshots below, I'm activating both the Gallery Plus option, which works properly to display costs, and the International site listing option following it, which does not.
- Scroll down to the Sell it faster section of the new Listing form and click on the "Edit all options" link at upper right.
- In the "Sell it faster" popup that appears, scroll down to the "Gallery Plus" slide switch, which will be off unless its On setting was inherited from being set via the old form. The wording states that a fee applies, although the fee is not stated while this setting is Off:
- Click on the "Gallery Plus" slide switch to activate it, and the fee will appear following its heading. After 2-3 seconds, its text description will be replaced with a new sentence also mentioning the fee.
- Now look at the "International site" setting below it, which has a strangely worded sentence in which the charge seems to have been removed: "A listing fee of applies whether or not your item sells." You can click on the "International site" slide switch to activate it, but the charge (it's 50¢) will not be shown anywhere, neither in the heading nor in the description sentence, which remains wrong, as seen here:
Compare the two activated settings above: Gallery Plus states its fee (in two places); International site does not (anywhere). I only noticed this after tracking down a 50¢ fee in a listing that I thought I'd set up with no extra charges in it.
