I stared seeing the "Access Denied" message yesterday. It appears that the public IP address of my company has been blocked. Every device connected to our internal network cannot access ebay.com and is seeing this message.
What might have caused the block? And if we have been blocked, how long will it last? Finally, is there any official way to dispute the block and have it removed?

You can call eBay or contact them on Facebook.com/eBay or Twitter.com/AskeBay

Seriously eBay? That's the best answer you can come up with?

Are you sure it's not something changed in your company's security profile? There are lots of companies that dont' allow access to FB, Twitter, eBay etc.

Experienced the same. Our external IP was blocked from ebay.com, godaddy.com, mailchimp.com. Quick fix is to get a new IP address. In our case by changing the mac address of the router our IPS issued a new IP automatically. But this does not solve the blocking permanently.
Found the cause on akamai blog "The following activities may trigger application security controls:
Since we are not doing such attacks ourselves we suspected that a malware is running on one of our devices. Turned out that one of our windows pc had several trojans, one of them is Sathurbot which is capable of such remote attacks.
