I tried to list an item and it said eBay is unavailable in your location because of sanctions

"In compliance with applicable economic sanctions and trade restrictions, eBay is unavailable in your location. ​​If you believe you are receiving this notice in error, please contact eBay’s Customer Service." to be exact. For context I am a seller in Canada that lists occasionally, maybe twice a week.  I know Ukraine and Russia can't sell on here but Canada??? No way the Trump tariffs were so bad ebay had to discontinue in Canada? No on else seems to have this problem yet so I am beyond lost.  I have contacted CS and they said they will do an investigation but still haven't heard back from them after 3 days. I don't have a vpn on anything so what is going on?

There are items which cannot be listed on Ebay.com because their country of manufacture is subject to sanctions.

Ebay's bots sometimes confuse some items with sanctioned countries.

I get that error message if I attempt to list a stock certificate for the Cuba Cafe, a US company.

I've never seen it, but @tobaccocardyahoo might be right. Out of curiosity, was it a new listing or did you use 'Sell similar'?

I used sell similar. I ended up saving it as a draft on desktop and then I posted it on my phone with no problems
