I originally had posted my problem in the thread: “[BUG?] SELLER HUB – NEW “SALE EVENT + MARKDOWN” (Markdown Manager replacement) - Unable to Edit/” but since my problem is a little different from that of the OP I’m starting a new thread.
I have been trying to place individual items in my store on sale since November 19th.
When I try to start the sale from “Manage My Store” I am redirected to the “Seller Hub.” When I try to create a sale in the Seller Hub by choosing the % discount amount and then selecting individual listings to include in my sale, the confirmation screen shows that no items were selected.
I have spent hours trying to get this to work and I have spent more hours on the phone with eBay reps trying to get this fixed. I have called eBay about 10 times since Thanksgiving and the reps have tried many different approaches to get this feature to work but it doesn’t work. I've been told that my problem has been escalated and that it will be fixed "soon" and that someone will call me within 24-48 hours. When is "soon?" I've yet to receive a call back.
The reps assure me that I am not the only person reporting trouble getting the Sales Event & Markdown feature to work.
Following ritasloft’s suggestion, I relisted expired listings and then tried using the “Sale Event + Markdown” feature, but it still doesn’t work.
Please help!

I still can't start a sale of individual items in “SALE EVENT + MARKDOWN.” Please bring back Markdown Manager until the problems with SALE EVENT + MARKDOWN are fixed. Markdown Manager worked great.

trinton@ebay Can you help me? I still can't start a sale of Individual Items in “SALE EVENT + MARKDOWN.” I have called the customer service reps many times and they tell me that this problem has been escalated. I try to start a sale every day, hoping that this problem will be finally fixed --but it still doesn't work. I don't see many people complaining about this so it looks like it works for most people-- can someone please fix this feature so that it works for me?

This is so frustrating. The “SALE EVENT + MARKDOWN” feature isn't working again. I've wasted so much time trying to get this to work. If the techs got it to work yesterday morning, why is it not working again today?
trinton@ebay Please find someone who can fix this in a way that it stays fixed.

Still doesn't work. Does anyone of consequence actually read these boards? How many times can you be expected to call in reporting the same problem? I wish I could speak with an eBay rep here in the states but when I call I only reach reps in South East Asia.

This feature still doesn't work. Please bring back Markdown Manager until the techs can get rid of the bugs in the Marketing/ Promotions program.

trinton@ebay Thank you for your response in the other thread. I apologize to the OP for going off topic -- if that is what I did.
This is a problem that I first became aware of on November 19th. As you can see I did start a new thread that was specific to my problem. I have contacted customer service many times. They have told me many times that my problem has been escalated. I have reposted here in my lonely thread trying to find someone who could help me. This past weekend I sent an email to Griff along with screen shots and the trouble ticket number assigned by customer service hoping that a technician could finally fix this. In the past, selectively discounting items was a very effective tool for bringing buyers to my store and I would like to be able to use this feature again. Anything you can do to help me would be appreciated. If you would like more specifics please contact me privately.

Please have your eBay brain people fix the Markdown Manager in order Sellers can put items up for sale without waiting for two weeks. Whoever thought of the new idea in the first place needs to have their head examined. It hurts eBay sales both from eBay and the Seller.
