We are fighting the same issue with our listings being translated into gibberish when viewed in other countries. I finally managed to get a call back from somebody at eBay. The answer was that it cannot be turned off but they will forward the suggestion:
"Thank you very much for contacting us and giving the suggestion about being able to turn off the translation feature for other international sites. We appreciate you for bringing up this concern and we will work towards improving the site per your suggestions."
They are making a mockery of our listings. I found comments from people complaining about this for years, and it only gets worse instead of better. eBay seems completely unresponsive to the concerns of their users.
