How to delete messages from Inbox? Oops. Something went wrong. Please try again later.

Hello,

I have been trying to delete these messages for 3 months and they just will not delete (move to the Recycle Bin).

Every time i try, all i get is a message Oops. Something went wrong. Please try again later.

How can i resolve this because its annoying clutter?

There is no real need to delete as old messages get automatically deleted. In the past this was done after 90 days and the time frame may have changed.

 I checked my inbox and the oldest message was from 6 months ago.

Instead of deleting, try moving the messages from your inbox to the trash. If that does not work, try creating a new folder, then moving the messages to the folder and then deleting the folder. Or rename the folder Trash2 and use it to store old messages you no longer want.

I have already tried those.

For some reason when i ask this question, i can't seem to get past people offering the same unworkable solutions that i have already tried and for eBay to look in to it.

Its a bug that needs fixing.

Only messages in the Recycle Bin are automatically deleted.

I am not talking about the Recycle Bin.

I am talking about Inbox: Messages which are not deleted unless you move them to the Recycle Bin, hence the reason for my post.....................they will not move to the Recycle Bin.

The messages are stuck in limbo.

I am not the only person this is happening too and its only happening with messages from eBay.

I like to keep my inbox clean so i know what's what because i get quite a few messages, read them, go back to them and delete them when i am done with them.

eBay needs to look in to this because its a bug.

This isn't the first time i have asked, i asked in another section on eBay (not the forums) and it seems everyone just repeats the same thing.

If the usual workaround that works for everyone else is not working for you and you do not want people to suggest the usual workaround, perhaps you ought to mention that at the outset.

They don't automatically delete from the Inbox. They only automatically delete from the Recycle Bin. My issue has nothing to do with the Recycle Bin.

Yes, I too have the problem and nothing works. . .

IMHO, long OVERDUE for Ebay to fix this . . . shows real disrespect to the users that they can't be bothered
