I found already a thread that was years old yet the only official response was from a moderator saying they were closing the thread because it was old, not addressing at all the issue. They were encouraging to open a new thread though, so here I am.
After years, I visited eBay today only to find it in the regional language. That's fine, I guess, except usually when this is done, web designers put a little non-textual icon/menu/button/etc that conveys it's for changing the language. Instead eBay just assume people can't travel or speak foreign languages, IDK, whatever it is, it's infuriating. How am I supposed to navigate towards the language option if I don't speak the language? (hence the non-textual pictograph) It feels a bit arrogant bordering on the xeno that the site decides for me who am I, or rather must I be based solely on my IP address.
Is there any other hidden way? Like a shortcut address or something?
For what it's worth, eventually it did change to English when I signed in, but to have the most basic accessibility requirements on an international site I shouldn't need to sign in at all—which presumably would need setting it beforehand which in turn circles back to problem number 1; how am I supposed to do that if I don't ****ing speak the language?!

I change the language by changing what site I sign in to. I am not sure if that works everywhere, but it works for me.

Scroll to the bottom of this page and change it on the bottom right under eBay Sites.
