So it appears the help desk now wants you to go to a 3rd party to create a userid and password give them your CC charge you $1 and then a monthly fee for any help for a problem you are having on their system.  I support this,,,, but I told the online person if they want me personnel info. They have to log on my home page and create a user I’d and password, accept my security policy for me to to give it to them.

It sounds like you may have done an internet search for eBay’s phone number. The results to that search are scam sites, run by thieves. 
eBay doesn’t have a direct phone number to call. 

You can contact eBay through the Help and Contact link at the bottom of most every eBay page. 
They are also available through Facebook ‘eBay for Business’. 

eBay does not charge any fees for help.

Sounds like you did a search and found one of the scam sites pretending to be Ebay CS.

If you gave them your card number, I suggest putting a lock on that account and get a new number. That $1 could cost you a lot more than a $1!!

Sorry, I never contact CS, when I want good advice, I come here and ask questions.

If they were wanting to charge you, you were not talking to CS.
