Have I been put on some sort of Block for free listing Promos?

I haven't received a Free Listing Promo since August.  I am a Top Rated Seller, who has been here since 2005.  My Feedback is 100%.  When I called support last month, he told me to hold on and he would make sure I got back on the promo list. He said that I should be back on when their is a new promo.  But I am not receiving any promos at all.  I really really need those promos.  I have 109 listings that need to be relisted and I will lose all my hard work when those listings drop off the relist and I can't relist them.  I will have to start from scratch.  Am I on some dead server?  I have had no sales in 20 days?  What is going on???

I've reached that age where my brain goes from "you probably shouldn't say that." To "what the heck, let's see what happens. "

The listing promotions that a seller receives seem to be random, some sellers get them and some don't.  Some sellers that have multiple selling accounts have reported that they get listing promotions on one account, but not on the others that they have.

The only thing that I can suggest is check your Account>Communications Preferences>Promotions and Surveys.  Make sure you have this box checked.

I have been getting them every month since they changed the monthly listing from 100 to 50 a few years back.  Now all of a sudden, I have not gotten any.  How could that be random.  I don't understand why eBay would just suddenly stop giving them when I am making them money and I am a good seller.  Random was never the case here.  I have also been receiving search emails that I deleted 3 years ago.  I have no way of stopping them, because they don't exist on my saved searches.  That started back in August also.  So Something has happened to my account.  I have been put on a back burner because of a software glitch?   I feel that eBay has let me down and is forcing me out.  Why?  That is not anyway to treat your sellers.

I am sorry, I wish that I had an answer for you.  Maybe a monthly Starter Store Subscription would benefit you?  It is $7.95 and you get 100 free listings.  With a monthly subscription you can cancel anytime and not incur a cancellation fee.  That way you could list most of what you are worried about losing and possibly pick up sales from some of the holiday shoppers.

Best of luck to you.

Thanks for trying to help. I had a store years ago when eBay was good and before the recession.  But my items are now much lower cost, because the higher cost items don't sell anymore.  I am selling off what I have left of my inventory.  I don't even feel like making anything new I am so depressed.  My profit is small from my items, and having a store only gets me 100 listings a month and I know store owners don't get very many promos if at all, (except for the 500 they just got).  I was getting 2 listing promos a month each with 100 free.  That is why I increased what I was selling.    It is like they pulled the rug out from under me.  The money I make from this account helps put food on the table.  eBay doesn't realize that they hurt people that are just trying to make a few dollars to  help with monthly bills.

I really think that something has happened to my account.  The search emails that I am still getting that I deleted 3 years ago are still being sent to my email.  Their is a glitch somewhere and I am stuck in limbo because of it.  No sales for 20 days is not the norm for me.  Usually I get at least 1 or 2 sales a week.   How can I justify a store when I have no sales?  I just hope someone in the tech department sees this post and looks into my account and sees that there is something wrong.

I received a 100 fixed price promo this morning. Been receiving these promos every month for quite some time.

Some people think they are given out randomly, who knows?

Sorry you haven't received any as of late & your lack of sales.

After reading this board and all the other boards, it is so obvious that eBay doesn't care about good sellers.  Thirteen (13) years with a TRS and 100% feedback means absolutely nothing.  They don't care about their good sellers.  I have asked for help repeatedly for and they can't fix the convoluted software they have developed.   The Zombie emails as some other poster on another thread called the deleted searches from years ago, is the clue to being put on a don't give the sellers anything to help with their sales.  Just make them buy.   I get emails that have no clue what I would like to buy.  Just "trendy" items that I have absolutely no interest in.   Well I can't afford to buy anything if I am not selling!  NO HELP FROM EBAY TECH DEPARTMENT!!!!!

sounds like over all sales are plummeting due to ebay not fixing issues with their site and buyers leaving because they do not want to use apple pay combined with ebay dropping paypal. Sounds like they need the money from you listing multiple items at full price or want a boost in monthly subscription fees by forcing you to upgrade to a store subscription. Also their constant issues with the site have cause sales to plummet for sellers and lots of them are leaving so they got to make up the revenue lose on the backs of the remaining sellers.

The funny thing is the quickest fix would be to admit they made a bad mistake. Drop apple pay and resign with paypal. Then pull the server back up tapes from before they started these terrible changes and restore their site to when it worked and functioned as it should but that would mean certain higher ups would lose face rather than ebay and their stock holders constantly losing money. The sellers well they just done matter so why would they care if sellers cant make a living on their site. They just provide the items for sell that ebay earns a commission off of the sales. Its not like there is a working partnership or anything we are just the slaves so get to work list list list no matter how much it cost you in monthly fees.

When I first started selling 2 to 3 years ago my fees were 12 to 15 percent of my sales. Now they are 25 to 35 percent of my monthly sells yet sells are down 45 percent. Mainly due to their site issues and manipulating search results to promote other sellers items by using my items against my permission. The funny thing is

I doubt they are making much money off of those promoted listings and it seams like they would just make more money if they were not promoting other sellers items as 45 percent drop in sales should out way the 5 to 10 percent extra they may make if a item actually sells. But that is the way it goes use a trendy hipster to make up a new buzz word for actual long standing marketing practice like lead generation. then call it something it is not like promoted listing then when the revenue less than projected ignore the math pretend the lose is not there and double down on a lie. Then bankruptcy for ebay and sellers a like lol but hey at least the higher ups never have to admit they were wrong and had no real qualification to do the job they were paid to do and their resume stays intact for the next company that highers them to run that company into the ground.
