Going through developers website to log on to homepage!

Hi!

I haven't logged on since just before ebay forged it's own servers in late August. I tried logging on in the usual way, via link to the logon page, and then via ebay.com through my usual browser (Firefox) and protected by Eset NOD32 (ten years) on my reliable Win7 system, and received this message both times:

"Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to www.ebay.com. The OCSP response is not yet valid (contains a date in the future). Error code: SEC_ERROR_OCSP_FUTURE_RESPONSE

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

As you know, contacting ebay other than by phone is nigh impossible, so I tried the HQ page - fail. Then I went to the developers site, and found a link which took me to ebay.com, wherein I could FINALLY log on.  Now I've done as instructed (Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.). Ebay tag team, please contact me via email and advise. Thank you very much.

That error can apparently sometimes be caused by having the time, date or time zone of your computer set incorrectly. Might be worth a check.

With that attitude you'll never make salesman of the month selling new computers* to users whose system clocks are off by a few seconds or forgot to turn the WiFi on.
