Getting signed out

What is the Ebay option to keep you signed in when I am getting signed out every couple of minutes?

i use apple devices if that matters. Also why am i being constantly asked before getting me to signin page to captcha twice? This happen not before inputting password like on other sites but before showing me signin page. Everytime the pictures are the same (tall buildings) and I am asked to do it twice

Have you changed anything about your setup lately? New browser, or new privacy settings or software? Using a VPN or hotspot?

If you have set your browser to delete cookies when you close it, or if you use a cleaner program that periodically erases cookies, you will likely have to sign in again or go through a challenge after your cookies are erased.

If you are not erasing your browser cookies, and there is nothing different about your network connection, then perhaps you have a corrupt or blocked eBay cookie. In that case, try manually erasing just your eBay cookies once. Clearing all cookies may not work in the case of a corrupt cookie -- manual deletion may be necessary.

If that does not help, try another browser altogether or a private or incognito browser window.

Preferably the latest version of a browser you have not used before, with default settings and no add-ons installed.

I generally stay signed in and do not delete browser cookies, so the only time I encounter those Captcha tests is when I try a new browser, sign in to another country's eBay site that I have not signed into before, or restart my cable modem (which causes my provider to assign a new IP-address).

I recall in the past there have been issues with the "keep me signed in" box on the sign in page; there is another such checkbox located in the Account under Security and Sign in Preferences here:

Check to make sure the box is checked there.

I have sign-in preferences marked as keep me signed in. I have done it while ago when it became an issue. I also saw notification (again)  from Ebay stating they are making improvements and to go to sign in preferences . It logs me out on all browsers. I don’t reject cookies. Captcha is very annoying as signing in on my same device in the same place.

it has been for months and is not getting fixed. And I see others complaining about the same.

I had to login 3 times within last 2 hours. Today no captcha as of yet. So I see some progress. The keep me signed check box was moved from site with full login (user name and password) to site with only username.

The issue was resolved for 1 day. I was kept signed in just like my chosen preferences but it is back to logging me out again.

and no issue is not answered soi won’t be marking solution. I just posted issue and it was not addressed

Today, I received email telling me that there was new device sign in while that was not true.

i use the same device for years from the same location. I didn’t clear cookies and use firefox. None of it is new. I guess that is the reason why I am being signed out every couple of minutes despite “ stay signed in” preferences and the very annoying captcha - 2 times in raw choose tall buildings. Why 2 times? Why same captcha? Why am i being signed out?

Is your network changing your IP-address?

Did you try another browser to rule out a browser issue?

Everything stays the same for years. They were able to keep me signed in accordingly to preferences chosen so what happened to Ebay now. Plus others were complaining about the same as you know @eburtonlab  - I saw you were responding to them . I doubt you can blame me. Other websites are able to keep me signed in what is up with Ebay?- every couple of minutes?

So today Ebay made me verify /captcha 5 times picking Tall buildings after I reported on their website the issue of me having had to pass 4 screen every 20 min to reloggin- 2 with captcha, one with user name and kast with password. Today’s improvement : 7 screens: 5with captcha , one username and one with password. 

when i search for reported issues — it goes back to 2020. Is Ebay ever going to fix it?

The issue with ebay logging me out after couple of min continues. Today this screen came out without any buttons on it.

several times I was notified of new device login while i use same device from same location on private network.  The option of keeping me signed in is not working.

i use updated desktop browser (mozilla)  on ipad pro 12”

I don't know  @partfinds , you using a VPN? If so, it might, at this time, be taking a route the eBay network bots don't like.

i will add that Ebay is the only website doing it. 

seems there is issue with password time out being triggered by something and Ebay not recognizing the device (I received email new device sign in - but it was the same and cookies were not cleared).

Maybe they categorized me as bot and I am being kicked out all the time. Then I have to do excessive captachs . One time it was 5 and others 2 in raw.

but I can’t solve issue myself. Ebay needs to look at it from their side. Nicole@ebay or devon@ebay (not sure who handles this would you be able to create ticket to appropriate poeple for fix?
