I have often mixed and matched items from multiple orders for combined shipping to a single buyer. When I due this I often use a third party shipping service since eBay labels doesn't allow you to apply the number generated to only some items in a shipment. Usually, this all works great and has no issues.
Earlier this week, I tried to do this once again and received an error message stating that "Tracking number added is already used for a different buyer". I was able to apply the number to the first shipment just fine, it's only when I try to add the same number to a second shipment for the same buyer that I am now receiving the error. I have tried removing the tracking number and then adding it back all at once. In that case, I the number get applied to one shipment but not the other. I have been able to remove the number from one shipment and apply to the other, but if I go and try to add it back to the one it was on before, I once again receive the error.
I thought I would give it a few days thinking this might be an eBay glitch that would just get fixed behind the scenes, but it has persisted for several days now, so I thought I should raise the visibility of the issue.
