Recently I won a case where a seller sent my item with a different courier than advertised, it was left with a neighbour and could not be recovered. Fine, glad ebay had my back on that one.
I go back to the sellers page and the negative feedback I left describing the situation has been removed. What is the point of a feedback system if it can be bypassed like this? I could understand if the case went against me, but they decided in my favor.
Now I know why anything less than 100% means avoid

We can't, of course, see the FB you left that was deleted, but, if you mentioned anything at all about having to open a case to get satisfaction, then eBay scrubs the feedback.

Sellers can only ship to the address provided at checkout.

The point is they used a courier who thinks that leaving it with a neighbour is sufficient to mark it as delivered. It is not and I try to vett companies that do this. Sellers who do this erode trust in the platform

Again not very good long term for the feedback system, surely sellers who are proactive about problems should be rewarded rather than lumped in with sellers who have to be forced to act.

Your frustration is, of course, understandable, but it's not really your seller's fault that the courier left the package at the wrong address, is it? And has that courier made any effort to retrieve the package?

I completely understand your frustration with the situation you've encountered on eBay regarding the removal of your negative feedback despite winning the case. The feedback system is indeed a crucial aspect of online marketplaces like eBay, intended to provide transparency and assist other buyers in making informed decisions based on previous experiences.
In cases like yours, where you've legitimately faced an issue with the seller, leaving feedback is a way to share your experience and inform other potential buyers. It's disappointing when feedback, which reflects a genuine transaction experience, gets removed, potentially undermining the purpose of the feedback system.
While eBay aims to maintain fairness and resolve disputes, the removal of feedback despite a favorable resolution in your case does raise concerns about the consistency and effectiveness of their feedback policies. It's essential for platforms like eBay to ensure that feedback reflects accurate experiences to maintain trust and transparency within their community.
If you feel strongly about the situation, it might be worth reaching out to eBay's customer support to express your concern and seek clarification on why the feedback was removed despite the case being decided in your favor. Providing feedback and highlighting your experience with the resolution process could potentially aid in improving their system for future users.
Overall, your experience highlights the importance of maintaining the integrity of feedback systems on online marketplaces, ensuring that they accurately represent buyers' experiences to benefit the community as a whole.

I BEEN WITH EBAY FOR 21 YRS. AND UNDERSTAND ALOT OF RULES AND REGULATIONS TO WHICH EBAY HAS, I AS ONLY BEING A BUYER ALL THIS TIME AM STRONG IN ALL TRUTH TO EVERY EXPERIENCE HAD WITH SELLERS. SOME "GREAT", "NOT GREAT" BUT OTHERS "SUPER GREAT" TOO!!! AT TIMES "FEEDBACK" DELETED FAILS BUYERS "PROTECTION" TO ALLOW WHAT FEEDBACK HAS BEEN LEFT BY OTHER'S EXPREIENCED BY OTHER BUYERS AND BEING DELETED IS NOT GIVING THE EBAY "FEEDBACK SYSTEM" THE CORRECT USE CREATED BY EBAY TO SUPPORT THE PURPOSE IT WAS MADE FOR "BOTH" SELLERS AND BUYERS A LIKE. PLACING THIS "STATEMENT" SETS NOR BEEN GIVEN "JUDGMENT" OF ANY "ACTIONS" UPON "FEEDBACKS" PLACED I HAVE "LEARNED" DURING MY TIME BUYING OFF ON EBAY, TY. SSC327
