Exceeded number of messages

Exceeded number of messages  -  I got this pop-up today on my iPhone. 21 March 2023. reading messages from a year ago, I’m shocked and woefully disappointed that eBay still has their automated system doing this! I had quite a heated conversation with a rep today - at first it was very loving and lite, then she told me she couldn’t make any changes that this was automated and I told her “Put your supervisor on the phone”  eBay  is not automated eBay is people what  are you trying to do to the sellers??? always always eBay is screwing with sellers - we’re the ones who make the money - my gosh - read this eBay - undo your automation - go back to being human.

Re: Exceeded number of messages

My understanding is it's a security measure to avoid people using bots to SPAM countless users on the site.

Most buyers and sellers will never run into it because the limit is somewhat high and most transactions don't require more than a few messages, if any.

The message usually appears when a buyer and seller get into a very long back-and-forth.

Walk without rhythm, it won't attract the worm.
