To ebay the 3 day law!
If you receive a notification from eBay that the buyer has requested to cancel the order, you'll have 3 days to accept or decline the request. If you don't respond within the 3 calendar days, we'll close the buyer's cancellation request. If the buyer hasn't paid, then the order will be canceled automatically.
ITS your rules!!!

Don't matter how many days it takes the seller to ship; every listing should show the estimated arrive by date to you. That is the number that counts, not how many days it takes to get in the mail. If you don't like what it shows RE that date, don't buy.

It's new (and improved) rules, then. It used to take sellers 4 days to cancel for non-payment. So I suppose if you want to get it back on the grid quicker, you accept the cancellation. If you're in no hurry, you wait 3 days... right? 🤔

The only people I see having any problem with the automatic payment stuff is those that aren't intending on paying anyway.... I usually purchase with buy it now, and put in my card information and buy it right then. I have never used 3 or 4 days to pay for something. If I don't have the money at the moment I want something I wait until I get the money before trying to buy it. People are so weird. It's not like you can walk into a brick and mortar store or big box store, and "buy something" without paying for it, and get 3 days to actually come up with the funds to complete the transaction. Heck they did away with even Lay-a-way in most places for a reason... Guess what it was 😛

Users that want to buy more than one item at a time and combine shipping have problems with the automatic payments, which is not set up to accommodate that.
Also users that have more than one payment method and who want to pay using a different payment method than the one that was previously set as the default for offers or auctions.
Or users that want to pay using nonstandard payment methods such as PayPal's Pay-In-4 program, or who want to pay using an eBay gift card and who can no longer do so for auctions or offers that require automatic payment.
