So lately I have been having issues with ebay lagging badly after doing a searching for random items. The page will start to populate with results, but I can't click on anything. The homepage works fine, My ebay options work fine, but lags bad when doing a search. It's gotten to the point that I will need to search the item on Google instead of ebay itself... It only started behaving like this for a few days, before that, it worked perfectly fine.

Any difference if you temporarily disable your ad blocker?
If that speeds things up, try disabling just the Anti-Circumvention filter in Ad Block, or the ABP filters in Ad Block Plus, or the equivalent filters in other ad blockers.
Those filters have been associated with search results loading slowly and heavy resource usage in the past.

I'm having the same issue. It began a few days ago and prevents looking a my saved searches. I can't even click on anything that actually loads in. My homepage loads in fine but as soon as I go into my searches and select a search it pretty much overloads the browser and locks it up. Pretty ridiculous. Guess I won't be bidding on anything for awhile.

That's strange. Why would it start acting up suddenly just for that? Yes, it seems to be working fine now, but it's strange As it only started happening a few days ago, and I haven't added or changed anything in the adblock setting to make it suddenly act up as I've had it for years.

Why would it start acting up suddenly just for that?
Ad blocking rules are constantly being updated in the background. Check your active ad blocking filter subscription list to see when each was most recently updated. I am currently unsubscribed to the Anti-Circumvention filters, so if I resubscribe, it just says "updated now".
Possibly an ad blocking filter was recently updated, or possibly eBay updated something. Or both.
The folks that update ad blocking rules are constantly creating new rules to try to block new types of ads. Some create rules that might block sponsored listings. eBay does not want sponsored listings to be blocked, so eBay takes steps to ensure that sponsored listings are not blocked. Some of the things that eBay does look very similar to the things that ad makers do to make their ads less likely to be blocked, which in turn triggers the "Anti-circumvention" filters.
The harder eBay makes it to distinguish between regular and sponsored listings, the harder the ad blocker has to work when a full page of search listings is loaded, bogging things down.
