All pages search, selling, purchase etc. changing from a normal page to a pile of jumbled nonsense and back again when refreshing or moving from page to page, all was OK at 01:00 this morning.
Pointless trying to search for items or put something up for sale !!

Thursday night/Friday morning is when a lot of updates are done, which can cause temporary problems.
Are you still having issues? Try a shift refresh to reload the page.
If pages look better in another browser, try deleting your browser cache in your original browser.

I do as you suggest and have done so over many years with similar problems on sites, however when it is the same on Firefox, Chrome and Edge and on different machines, the clue is that it is the site that is the problem, as in this case.
Updates should be seamless and not disrupt sellers and buyers who would have lost sales and purchases.

If the problem is occurring using multiple browsers or devices, that would indicate something else rather than a problem with a browser cache.
But since the problem does not seem to be happening to other folks, I doubt the problem is at eBay's end; otherwise there would be many complaints.

If problems persist there as well, take a look at common network equipment. If you are using a common firewall or VPN, that may be causing issues. Sometimes rebooting a device such as a router or cable modem can help as well.

I and my colleagues have had this problem for about ten days now, pages all show as jumbled text with some boxes available for typing into. We are not able to access my-ebay (only jumbled) and therefore unable to purchase or sell on ebay. When we do a search we get just jumbled text, the item title can be clicked but the result is just another jumbled page.

Are you and your colleagues all on the same network?
Are you able to reach ebay.co.uk?

You may want to try posting on the UK discussion boards in case the problem you are encountering is a local one:

If you and your colleagues are all using the same local network, it might be worth trying to restart some of the common equipment such as a router, ethernet switch or cable modem.
It might be worth trying to connect to eBay using a laptop or phone when not connected to the local wifi to see if that matters.
