Ebay is falsely advertising items with FREE SHIPPING in Research Prices

Does anybody know why Ebay is falsely advertising my store items with FREE SHIPPING in Research Prices, when I DO NOT offer free shipping. It seems to me that this would confuse buyers.

I have looked up other sellers items in 'research prices' and have found MANY items that are also falsely advertised with free shipping when the sellers are NOT offering free shipping.

I reported this problem to ebay more than a month ago and they told me then that it was a glitch....funny thing is they have not fixed that glitch.  About a week ago I again reported this problem to Ebay, and no one seems to know what is going on...I do know one thing that this affects sales as it confuses the buyer and Ebay doesn't seem to care as they still get their fees!

Hi, when you say "Research Prices", are you referring to Terapeak Product Research? If not, can you provide a screenshot/link that provides more information? If so, Terapeak has nothing to do with advertising.

Buyers don't use Terapeak Product Research - it's a tool for sellers.

Anybody that you talked to over the phone or over chat with eBay just told you anything they could to get you off the phone. Sorry, that's just kind of how it is.

Have you had any confused buyers contact you about this?

If it makes you feel any more confident, @just-fun-stuff-retro-n-vintage , I just looked at your listings and I only saw two items marked as "free shipping". The large oil jar/urns that you have for pickup only and the Tiki salt and pepper shakers. Everything else had amounts for buyer pays shipping listed.

@just-fun-stuff-retro-n-vintage I've noticed for some time that the Terapeak research prices do not reflect accurate information regarding whether sellers are offering free shipping.  I'm often seeing that 100% are offering or have offered free shipping on an item and I know it is not true as some of those items listed were mine.  It's not confusing to buyers, but to sellers who are actually trying to set a competitive listing price and still accommodate for shipping.  Wish they would fix this as well.
