Ebay claims no connection when there clearly is

Why is the ebay app through Google all the sudden claiming you do not have a internet connection when you clearly do?This annoying and serious problem started for me in the last 48 hours. It's obviously on ebays end even though there service status board claims it's not.

What version of the eBay app are you using?

Make sure it is the latest version for your operating system; older versions are prone to producing odd errors.

You may want to post this on one of the app boards along with details of your operating system version and device type. There are eBay folks that read and respond there regarding app issues.

Others are reporting this issue also, but I haven't seen a clear explanation of why it is happening or what resolved it.
