I discovered that status page one day and have looked at a few times. Never any issues with eBay apparently.
One big placebo pill.

I have seen one blue status. It has been some time ago, and I do not remember which system it was.
I also keep an eye on the Downdetector (Google it). I mainly watch that to see the correlation between eBay, PayPal and the river. The downdetector can be spammed, since it is just a compilation of user reports. Do not take it too seriously.

I just saw in the Weekly Session and answer to this same question asked by you in that session.
post 53 by trinton from ebay
Hey there, I got some additional information regarding this board and wanted to share it with you. Though this weekly chat is closed at this time, I know that these are sometimes reviewed later by members who couldn't make it while the discussion was open and hopefully this proves helpful for them
The status update board functions via thresholds, so will only show an issue after a certain number of members are impacted. While we don't mean to minimize the trouble anybody runs into, we also don't want to sound the alarm when only a very small subset of members are running into trouble. I've provided the feedback here to the team that monitors this board to ensure that we have the appropriate thresholds set!

Thanks pocomocomputing.
That answer was on a closed board where there could be no further discussion.
There were major issues that impacted many sellers with being unable to print shipping labels and others having their preferred payment method being bypassed and other payment methods being charged result in many have costly overdrafts to accounts.
There was also another issue for a whole week with promoted listing not working properly and sellers original listings being not shown on the site with promoted near bottom of page.
Why were these issues not shown on the status board?
As to shipping issues i do not know how many people were impacted.
As to promoted listings every auction I checked had this issue . That's 100%
Trinton says "very small subset" but since ebay will not tell us the % that turns on the Blue or red light we can never know What "very small subset" means.
so pocomocomputing did you ever see the board not being fully green?

No, I have never seen an issue on the status page. But then I only looked about 5 times in the past month. I just felt it would never show anything.
There used to be another system status page back a few years and it rarely showed anything either. So I just thought the new system status page was just another piece of eBay fluff, a placebo, like you posted.
I still have the old system status board as a bookmark.

It used to always have the regular weekly maintanenace period on it which was/is on Thursday night / Firday morning from 11 pm to 1 am. This board might still be working because the regular weekly maintenance did not show up until a Tuesday if I recall correctly.
I still have bookmarked an old contact eBay email page which still comes up like it would work.

This page was the only one where I regularly saw more than one ebay issue listed on it years ago. The page actually works today when you click on the links like "report it". I suppose it is not monitored.

Very good. Thanks for the link to Technical issues. Do you know if this is CA or US or all?

It was on the eBay.com USA site. Each year I go through my bookmarks and tried each one to see if they were still good. I was surprised that a few of the older eBay ones were apparently still working. They may not be updated or monitored any more but the pages still exist.

I've seen red on it a couple of times.........weather once I think....can't remember the other......but it was a real tech problem........
Problem with Trinton's "small subset" is that if no one ever sees anything there, even when they know of a problem occurring, they assume ebay won't show anything and never go back. In the mean time, the boards/general discussions go round and round trying to figure out if it's a minor glitch, something wrong with THEIR system, or a real problem. More than half the time CS doesn't know anything so trying to report there seems fruitless. At least there is a way to TRY to catch a blue for problems now......and they do the best they can, I'm sure.......... I think the promoted listng problem and the bold listing problem both should have been on the board.......plus book category snafu and whatever is/is not going on with the mobile listing test that works/not/works/doesn't hold/etc.

Another 2 major ebay problems that have been ongoing for at least 10 days and the system status board is all green indicating no problems
I am a us seller and my items are not being displayed in proper ldefault location. My items are showing up low on the page under international sellers. Ongoing problem
seperate problem When I sell to a person outside of the us the ebay label I create is not autopopulating the tracking to ebay. If I try to maually enter the tracking ebay tells me I can not because the number is already in use.
Please post here if you are having problems as it will let ebay know we are waiting on a fix or at least an answer to our concerns.
