Ebay Search broken, ignoring search terms and showing too many results.

This has been happening for a couple weeks now, seemingly random but usually when there's 4+ different terms searched it ignores 1 of the words. Just got off the phone with low level support and they were able to replicate the problem and acknowledged it was broken which was incredible. The example I used was "1881-s morgan ms-65 cac" (no quotes) which brought up almost 800 search results. When you put any of the search terms in quotations, it went down to the correct 30ish results. It's making search totally pointless in a lot of cases and is costing eBay and sellers money. Why it is randomly ignoring search terms all the sudden is very weird and annoying... Hopefully it gets resolved soon since at it's core eBay is a search engine and its search is broken.

I noticed this problem while searching vinyl 45's last week. I type in song and add 45 to it, and I get like 1,000 listings appear and almost all of the listings have nothing to do with what I am looking for, they just happen to have one of the words in their title that I typed in the search bar. I used quotes to see if it would fix my problem and it did, but in all the years of searching vinyl 45's, I have never had to do that and never had random items overwhelm my search.  I gave up searching. There's just too many problems going on, slow loading, vinyl record category box keeps getting unchecked, US only check box often comes unchecked. It's a super pain and it has led me to buy all my records from another site.

Have the same problem. If it won't be fixed, I guess it's time to move to Amazon.

yup , same here. I tried searching for a particular motorcycle part ( 05 honda cbr600rr cam sensor) and everything under the sun comes up with very little results of what I am actually looking for. Including plastics and other odd items which shouldn't be in the same category. Very disappointed as our customers are also having a hard time finding parts as well. I would advice any one else to do the same & start looking for other platforms like Amazon, posh mark , or/& their own website until ebay gets their stuff together. We have lost over 30% in revenue due to ebays glitches / or as they like to call them , updates.
