When I try to upload a photo as a message attachment the photo gets 90 % loaded and then I get an error message, "Server error, please remove and try again."

I've tried a PC and iPad but both the same issue.

Picture is only 34k

Anyone else getting this issue ?

It is now the end of January and I am experiencing the same problem complained of at the beginning of the month. Is there is any chance this is going to be resolved soon It looks like a recurring problem.

Hi @rosie_boo - I just partnered with our tech team and it looks like this issue should now be resolved. If you haven't yet, try clearing your cache/cookies or a different browser to see if that helps. Keep us posted if you still run into the issue after that and we'll file a new report with the appropriate teams.

I still can't load photos to messages have cropped, resized, shrunk them down to nothing and same server error, gets to 90% nada.....ummmm it's February 14th 2017.....shouldn't this be fixed by now???

February 14th, 2017. Still not working. Can't load photos inside messages....same error at 90%, remove photos. Doesn't matter what size. Any ideas on "what" the problem is, and if someone is actually really going after it?

Hi @sortuda- Have you tried the steps provided above? Clearing your cache/cookies or switching browsers should fix the problem. Please give that a try and keep us posted with what happens.

This is still an issue. It happens to me constantly. I have to close the broswer and open a new message over and over until it works - pain in the ***, but, it eventually works. Wish they would get this resolved.

Ugh. June 12 and this problem is still ongoing. What the heck? Can't it be fixed? I've been trying to attach photos to various messages over the last three days and sometimes it works, but mostly it doesn't. If there's any rhyme or reason to it I haven't found it. I just keep trying, over and over, and eventually a photo will plop into place. Or another time I'll open the browser and the message, and it works just fine, first time. Then on to more pics and...NOTHING. It seems totally random.

If any ebay person sees this , please help! I/we need a workaround! Or at the very least, let us know what the heck is going on, and whether there are any plans to fix it. This issue is taking up a huge amount of time, and it's SO frustrating!!!!!!!!

JUNE 27th 2018 ----Having the same problem for several days , Cant up load pics is messages,I am not going to upload this extra pic for any listing, it is a pic of the request total tab in a buyers shoppong cart. I have tried all the "fixes" from ebay, changing browser, clear cache, clear cookies NOTHING WORKS..

So Since I cant share contact info How Am I supposed to help my buyer they are new and dont know how to request total..

Can you put the photo on the web somewhere, and then send the URL to the buyer? That would at least take care of the immediate situation until eBay fixes things.
