I posted this in buying/selling board but realise it should be posted here. Hopefully someone from the ebay community staff will respond when they return from the ebay open.
On July 16 eight to 10 drafts that were about 15 days old were deleted from my account. The only draft not deleted was more than 30 days old. Two of the deleted drafts I had been editing on July 15.
I have contacted ebay four times regarding this issue and spoken with more than 10 people. Twice customer support said they would email tech support and I would get a response in 72 hours. It has been 11 days and no response from tech support. I did get two messages from customer service on July 19 and July 22 informing me they've sent requests to tech support and I never heard from either customer service agent again. Today, July 27, a different customer service supervisor told me drafts can't be restored. I don't know whether to believe her since you can speak with five different supervisors and get six different answers.
I know this isn't an anomaly because I've read on message boards and Facebook groups where this has happened to other sellers, but the few solutions provided don't apply to my situation and were a few years old. I am seeking solutions on ways to get ebay to restore drafts they deleted by mistake. Considering the high number of ebay sellers, something like this must happen everyday and surely there must be protocols in place to correct their error. (Please, no sarcasm, I am trying my darnedest to give eBay the benefit of the doubt.)
(I create my listings in safari on my ipad and add the images using the eBay app. I like using safari because I can add extra item specifics, which I can't do with the app. I always close out of the draft in safari before opening it in the eBay app and vice versa. I've been listing this way for years and never had a problem.)
