My descriptions are not showing up on any of my listings or when I search other sellers listings. All I get in place of the description is to Verify that I am a human. Please call eBay and report this issue.....I called ebay this morning, and I was told that it was only my account. They said that this is an issue with Chrome. I have tried Safari and Microsoft Edge as well with the same results The only thing working is on my phone app. They need to HEAR from sellers and buyers so they get to work on fixing this problem. I will not be listing another thing until it is fixed. I will not be bidding on anything until it is fixed.

If you are suddenly not able to view item descriptions because of a Captcha that succeeds and goes nowhere, and if you want to contact eBay about it, mention ALERT14719 which is associated with this recent (as of 2023-6-2) issue.

If I understand correctly, users experiencing this issue on a desktop are still able to view item descriptions using a mobile browser or the eBay app.

The real question here is why this even has to be an issue in the first place. What point is there to test a buyer to see if they are a human being just to be able to view an item description? What eBay security/marketing idiot thought that one up?

I doubt that that was the intended result.

Most likely some recent change -- on eBay's end, or on some network's end, or both -- has inappropriately triggered some anti-bot testing mechanism that, up until recently, was not causing a problem.

The intent was likely to stop certain bots or scripts without impacting any legitimate users at all. The fact that the bot-test is apparently triggered (for some users) by simply viewing an item description, and that the Captcha is apparently failing, is an indication that something is not right. That is not an indication that eBay expects users to perform a Captcha test to view each item description.
