So, I randomly found a weird glitch or feature or easter egg on ebay. I'm trying to type a part number "D80AS1" in the search box.
I get as far as "D8" and am greeted with a search bar that says "IT IS JUNE 28TH 2019, 9:39:28 AM RIGHT NOW"
Typing 'd8' produces "it is June 28th 2019, 9:41:01 am right now" I can't get any other combinations of numbers with 'd' to produce anything
🙂 I think I found some sort of easter egg. Are there more? 🙂
So, anybody else having the same results? (I know I can copy/paste the part number in, but this seems like something that might annoy some users)

You have some sort of BHO (browser helper object) or plugin installed that is "helping" you.

hmm. might actually be a chrome bug... not reproducible in IE. Running Chrome 75.0.3770.100

Using the same version of Chrome, I am not able to reproduce the effect typing "d8" into the search box on the main ebay.com page.
Although I just noticed that if I type "d8" into google, I get a "random" roll of a d8 die.

Already checked the browser extension thing.. Only running adblock+ and gallerify... though an auto-typer/expander would explain the behavior if i'd be using one...
hang on a couple seconds... and there she is... a hidden extension added to my browser - Auto-text Expander for chrome... Judging from the entries, I now need to search for a co-worker...
Pardon the thread...
