I am having what seems to be a problem with Chrome browser and my eBay “Active Listings” page. I am using an up-to-date Windows 10 Pro and Chrome on my laptop.
I wanted to cancel a listing by using the drop down on the listings page but when I clicked in the dropdown box the dropdown selection list did not show.
I cleared the cache and cookies etc. but still nothing. I also logged out of eBay on my other PC too, but that did not make any difference. I had to open Firefox, which I rarely use, there it worked and the dropdown list displayed and I could make a selection.
It also happens using the search box on any page. The cursor does not show when I click in the box but if I type something the characters show, but no cursor.

You say you cleared cache and cookies, but did you clear cache "for all time"? The default may be to only clear recent cache entries and that may not fix the problem. Also, if a cookie is corrupt it may need to be manually erased; clear all may not work in that case.
If that does not help, try checking to see if there are any browser updates pending. If so, try installing the updates and restarting the browser.
Otherwise, the issue may involve a conflict with an add on.
As a workaround, try using a different link to work with your active listings to see if one works better than the other:

"The cursor does not show when I click in the box but if I type something the characters show, but no cursor."
I have noticed the missing curser too, and I think it has to do with Chrome, because it is also happening on my Android phone which has an embedded Chrome browser. Not just eBay but social media and a google search - the curser is not there, but the characters show up.
