Great news!

I'm not able to pay for item in Ebay checkout when I select to pay with PayPal.

Process hangs after I write down my PP password in "Log in with Paypal" window. Annoying circle spins indefinitely, followed by message "Checking your info...".

Well, I know my passwords. I can log into either PayPal or Ebay accounts with phone apps or on PC without any problems. My PP account is verified with Ebay. Last time when used PP to make a purchase on Ebay was four days ago. No problems then.

I experience same behaviour with three different physical devices:

an Android phone with Ebay app,

Win7 PC with IExplore, Chrome, Vivaldi,

WinVista with Chrome.

Got the same result with any combination. 😞

I have sent message to PP to see what they'll say...

In the meantime, can anyone provide me with an advice, suggestion or workaround of some kind?

Same problem here. Can't pay my fees. Not a PayPal issue. Strictly ebay. Been going on for over a month. Only worked one time. CS at eBay is no help, just say they will turn my account in to be checked.

So what in the world are we supposed to do?

I won four auctions over yesterday and this morning.

I have to pay this sellers and get my items.

After trying for several hours to checkout with PayPal, I gave up on the PayPal option. Instead I checked out with my bank debit card, UNCHECKED the "Remember this Card for Future Purchases". Logged out of eBay and logged into my PayPal account, and transferred the purchase price to my bank account (From my PayPal balance).

I tried to use Paypal as well as credit/debit options and it still does not work. I even tried to pay my fees early to see if that goes through and it won't work either. Multiple calls to ebay customer NON service with no results other than every person giving me a different story as to what is happening. One even said it was because I was not using Google Chrome but when I asked how long that has been required he said it has been that way for a long time even though I purchased and paid for multiple items last week WITHOUT Google Chrome. Bottom line is the fools at Ebay keep trying to fix things that are not broken and in the process screw up a half dozen other functions. Once that happens they are clueless and we are screwed like we are now. Sellers are losing sales because the buy it now function is also down due to this. Sellers are not getting paid for auctions bidders have won. This is 100% an Ebay problem and they just don't care...……..
