Cannot update profile "About Me" section

I try to save it and get 

On Chrome, latest version, Win10.

Dev Tools shows:

Make sure your "About me" text does not include any carriage return or newline characters.

Your current profile has a lot of line breaks. Due to recent changes, as eburtonlab said, you will have to remove those line breaks if you want to publish edits. The system is rejecting all updates where text is not all in one blob.
