Cannot update existing BIN listing with error if it has open offers sent to potential buyers

Just as the title says...if there are any outstanding offers sent to potential buyers, trying to revise a listing results in:

                           Well, this is embarrassing.

We're sorry, but the listing tool isn't working right this second.

                            Please try again later.

And if you try this in bulk via Seller Hub Manage Your Listings you get

4 listings failed due to system errors

Of course this will work itself out when the offer expires but eBay USED to allow changing about 1/2 the

fields on the item (including the price) which offers were outstanding.

And those answers are ALL incorrect telling me it's user error...hence my post to the correct forum.

You used to be able to edit about 1/2 the fields on the listing page while others (description, etc) were

not editable. Now you get an error telling you there is a system error instead of how it worked up until not long ago. If they decided to block any edits entirely, say so in a proper way.

Telling me the tool isn't working is not the correct action.

Issue has been resolved and you can now edit the listing with the following message:

"Certain details can't be changed due to the current status of your listing"

Which means when an offer is sent or received you can:

• Add optional listing upgrades to increase your listing's visibility (fees may apply)
• Answer buyers' questions through messaging, but you can't update the description with new information to your listing
• Change the available quantity of the listing
• Add additional shipping options, including local pickup
• Add additional photos (on an auction style listing), but not remove existing photos
• Add additional, separate description (on an auction style listing)
