Cannot print receipt of item purchased

Having purchased an item, the "printer friendly" popup has an icon to print a receipt. Until recently, that icon worked just fine opening a print window. Now when I click on that icon, I can see an attempt to open a "new" tab but then it quickly closes and no option to print or continue.

What browser are you using? Is it the latest version?

Any difference if you try another browser?

Check your browser settings to see how PDFs are treated by default. You may want to set your browser to open PDFs using a dedicated PDF reader like Acrobat Reader rather than relying on your browser.

Hey @john*opd - see if you're able to follow the steps below then check off the add receipt box. If this is not working, try a different browser as eburtonlab suggested, and check your browser settings to make sure you're not blocking javascript.

Safari is the browser on MacBook.

The problem remains unresolved and EBAY is the only place/website I am experiencing this difficulty.

Recap: "printer friendly page" opens a cute view of the invoice/receipt. Upper right side is a "printer Icon". When you go to print, nothing happens. It appears it is attempting to open the printer dialogue but it does not succeed.  Further, the "printer friendly page" does not permit "right clicking" to select a "print" option.

thank you for your reply; however I am a buyer in this case and not the seller. My web interface is different than what you show.

If possible, try a non-Safari, non-Firefox browser (both those seem to problematic this week for Mac users). Opera? Chrome?

I am not as familiar with Macs, but there is likely a keyboard shortcut similar to Windows' Control-P or Control-Shift-P that may work if the usual print icon fails. This was an issue for Edge browsers about a year ago until something was fixed; for a while the only way to print was Control-Shift-P.

Or try saving the page as a PDF instead of printing, then opening with a PDF reader to print.

If nothing else works, you may be able to take a screenshot of the preview page and paste that into a document for printing.
