I often get a pop up having been through password, verification and 2 step verifications.
It is a red banner, takes me back to the First sign on screen and says" We ran into a problem, please try again later".
I also get emails suggesting a new device has signed into my account when it was me.
I take necessary precautions, don't store passwords on my device, change passwords regularly, use Brave Browser, yet the emails always say I was using Chrome.
I have also noticed that the little box saying keep me signed in is always checked, though never by me.
The same keep me logged in feature also applies to my Amazon account.
Am I just being followed and monitored by a corrupt person waiting to hack?
Can I do any better to protect myself?
Is the "ran into a problem" banner actually from ebay?
If this is a Cyber breach how do I report to authorities?

You are registered in Australia, but you are currently signed in to the ebay.com community pages.
Possibly your Brave browser is being seen as Chrome by eBay for some reason. Do the time and place match your own sign-in activity? If not, consider changing your password.
The new device message can be triggered by clearing your browser cookies or by changing your IP-address. Or by signing in to a different country site.
Are you able to sign in using Brave using a private browser window? If so, that might indicate a problem with your browser cache or cookies.
Are you able to sign in using a different browser?
Try using a different link to sign in if you are using an old bookmark.

Hi,
Thanks for addressing this so quickly.
The 'other device' issue correlates to my own usage times, but when it first started a few days ago I changed my password anyway.
I can sign in using Chrome, but my main concern is being allowed to go through the entire sign in, 2 step verification process sucessfully, and then going back to the user name sign in screen with the red message "we ran into a problem please try again later".
This is not due to using Brave Browser, as 80% of my access has been successfully using Brave.
I will go ahead and dump cookies, and also try a private browser in Brave, but the issue made me wonder whether a third party was involved.
Thanks for your help, I shall report back

I found that using Chrome as my Browser has ended the problems, but not given any clues as to why I could sign in easily with Brave some days but not others.
Guess we'll never know?
Thanks
