Can not get to main paige

For two day now both my husband and I have been unable to get onto ebay.com the error I keep getting is:

www.ebay.com’s server IP address could not be found.

• Try running Windows Network Diagnostics.

DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

Has anyone else been having the same trouble? If so how can it be resolved?  I ordered a pdf version on a textbook and have not received it and need it for school.

Some folks on the west coast in particular seem to be having problems reaching eBay lately, though they seem to be able to get to the community pages:

I've had the same problem since 1/13/2020. SoCal, AT&T. Can't access PayPal either although the PayPal mobile app works

I am having the same issues. Can't ship anything and customers probably can't buy anything. I hope both parties are paying attention and attempting to fix the issue.

I had a issue with a bookmark for the community page not working. If you are using a book mark it may no longer be good. Try opening a search engine and search for ebay. Then click the results if the page loads delete your old book mark and resave it. Also if the problem persist try another browser. If another browser works try clearing your browser data.

According to eBay's system status page there are no issues. Based off of what you said this is more a issue with internet service providers so in away eBay is correct.

I have been getting to the main ebay page but get this error when trying to sign in to my selling account so I cannot log into my account. Nothing has changed on my end, same browser, same computer, same sign-in link in the upper left corner of the ebay page.

Do you get the same error if you go the eBay site map and from there use a link to one of your My eBay selling pages without using the regular sign-in link?

I got the same error on sitemap page on both Firefox and Chrome. It seems to be intermittent as later I was able to log in on my selling account. This morning I couldn't log into either account from any link. Yet I was able to log in on this posting account after a while same as last evening. 

Now all I get is the authentication error a lot, LOL!

Thanks for your help, I will just keep trying.

The authentication error is a separate community board issue that has been going on for a while now -- usually you can get past that by opening a new browser tab and signing back in there. If it happens while submitting a post, sign in again on another page and then use the back button on your submitted post to see if you can recover your draft. Saved drafts can also be found at the bottom of your community profile page if you cannot get back to your posting page.

I realize that is another issue, it's just kind of funny/sad that ebay is so full of problems that never seem to get fixed. I have come to expect it. It doesn't ruin my day or anything, kind of like still having to play the puzzle game to show I'm not a robot. That still happens sometimes and sometimes not. When I get the authentication error, I just cancel the post and do it again and it works. It taught me to always copy the original! thanks.
