Amazon Fire tablet - eBay loads but after a search when I try to look at an item listing I get a big blank page with a please reload box. It says eBay is unable to handle the request. This has been happening for two days. Another Fire user posted the same problem.

The eBay App is not supported on Amazon Fire/Kindle devices. You will need to use the mobile browser on your device to access eBay.

Except it happens on the browser as well. I don't even have the app, and can't view individual items on my fire tablet. I get the exact message the OP does.

What browser are you using?
I am able to view eBay item listings on a Kindle Fire HD 8 using Silk and Opera browsers.
Some users are reporting getting 502 gateway errors when viewing item listings; this may be a network issue rather than something specific to the Kindle.

Thanks for providing that additional info. Does the same thing happen when you use a different browser and is the browser you're using up-to-date? Which browser is giving you the error?

I am using the silk browser, and it is up to date.

Tablet users seem to be particularly hard hit by that 502 gateway error problem, it seems.

Yes, could be tied to mobile web view @eburtonlab.

Yes -- I just saw one user in that 502 thread indicate that switching from mobile mode to classic mode allowed the page to load correctly. The problem appears to be associated with mobile mode.

It is fixed now, at least for me.

I'm not using an app. This issue is with the website. It has been rectified but now I have to switch back and forth from mobile view to desktop view every time I view an item description.
