Advanced Search Problems: Purging Criteria

Have had issues for some weeks with Advanced Search.  Previously, I was able to go to the "Advanced Search" page, enter a search term (e.g. "ocean liner"), check "Include Title & Description" and then exclude a list of bad sellers I had compiled.  Until recently, all criteria were saved for subsequent searches and I needed only to change my main search term at the top of the "Results" page to continue my searches.  Now, all other criteria (Title & Description, excluded sellers, etc.) are purged and I am forced to return to the "Advanced Search" page - an extra step that was previously unneccesary.  Has anyone else expreienced this?  Could this be a browser issue?  Any advice would be appreciated.

Problems for weeks now. There are about 4 discussions on first page alone noting this. One member says >

It has nothing to do with browsers.

Ebay has messed around with the search protocols, and as usual with their changes, most searches now do not work as well as they did a few days ago.

Seriously, ebay:  the changes to search functions, rolled out recently, DO NOT WORK.

Another example:  I often do a search in a particular category (such as Native Americn, US) and specify listings started within 24 hours.   Results in 2500 items.   When I do a sub-search for a term within that search (such as baskets) I used to get only baskets in that category, started within 24 hours,  perhaps 80 items.

Now, the sub-search deletes the "started within 24 hours" filter, and searches for the term within all listings in the category; returning 3,500 items.   Really.   I search for a specific term within the 2500 results, and come up with 3500.

This is the same issue as with the sold and completed filters; recent ebay changes have made those filters and probably many others work incorrectly. Why does ebay think it is helpful to remove filters, automatically and randomly, whenver one tries to search?

Any chance of a fix, or better yet, ROLL BACK the changes?

But of course, ebay never rolls anything back.   Or fixes anything.

yes this problems are there for weeks now, even at ebay germany, doesnt make sense to search in ebay for anything anymore. i am more and more changing to buy at amazon. 

ebay advanced search:

origin countries are ignored

search criteria are lost etc.
