Asking people to confirm that their profile information is up to date is a good idea, but it might be nice to consider that there are still some people who don't have an option to receive texts. Yes, I know that I'm probably one of the seventeen people on earth who don't have - or want - a smartphone, but the seventeen of us would like the "call me" option.

Me, that would be me. I do have a cellphone but it doesn't get or send texts since it is a really really old flip phone that I don't even know how to answer (it is for emergencies only).
It isn't just eBay. Everywhere I go online they keep dinging me for a "mobile number" to the point that the words "mobile anything" make me want to vomit. I have reached a point that I just tell people I don't even have a phone of any kind! LOL

My computer went south, so I don't have access to my e-mail. I'm using hubby's computer right now.
I pay all of my bills via the internet, and what a mess trying to log in and verify who I am since I am using a computer these companies do not recognize. All have been able to CALL my land line, give me a code, which I then use to log in. Except for one. They wanted an e-mail address. Fortunately, I was able to select an option to answer 2 questions, which I did, and was able to log in.
I will have to go through all of this again when my new computer is finally installed.
