Account closure - GDPR data deletion

I have NO active subscriptions (no visible to me subscriptions!) but keep getting the following message 4 month in a raw:

Your account can't be closed at this time

We can't close your account at this time because:

• We can't close your account yet because you still have active subscriptions. To cancel your subscriptions, log in to My eBay. Under "My Account," select "Subscriptions." Click the "Unsubscribe" link next to any active subscriptions.

What's going on, multiple calls, manages and support tickets?!

This may be an odd question, but has your account ever been hijacked (that you know of)?

I seem to recall a user that had a similar issue; it turned out that there was a store subscription associated with the account, but it was only visible on the Hong Kong site, for some reason. A legacy from when the account was hijacked, briefly. Perhaps store accounts are different in Hong Kong.

No idea how that worked -- usually a store subscription is linked on every site, and any subscriptions should appear in your account, here:
