AI Description Generator Missing From Listing Form

Maybe by design but I thought it was a "here to stay" change.
I saw someone inquired about the same in "Ask a Mentor" and was questioned on the listing, but I can confirm, with my own listings edit/list new does not matter, in all listings AI generator is MIA.

I noticed yesterday when i shared a few of my listings on social media the description was AI generated. My description was not there and i did not do anything to generate the new ebay AI description. It showed up on its own and i liked it better than mine. I hope ebay gives the seller the option to use ebay AI descriptions for my new listings.

@spendingcents26150 are you using the desktop listing form or the app?

If on desktop, it seems like that is slowly being rolled out and may only be available in some categories or to certain accounts.

No, not the case.
I was able to list consistently with AI generated description on Desktop for the last (some days, can't remember), and also go back and edit old listings.
I had used the generator before (on the APP) and I welcomed it to the Desktop version, that is why I went back to edit old listings to refresh.

hmmm.. when I searched my specific problem,, I did not bring up anything except the mentor section. But thank you.

I should clarify what I meant exactly.
I tested true/false category theory by checking my old listings that I had edited successfully with the AI generator, and those listings were also missing same, when it had been in place yesterday.

Thanks for that info @spendingcents26150 - based on the number of reports we're seeing here, I'd say it sounds like either it was a beta test and eBay has moved some sellers out of the test group now or there may have been an issue that forced them to roll it back.

When they first introduced the feature to the android app they removed it just a few days later because there were bugs that caused a "broken user experience" that had to be corrected before it was reintroduced, so there may be a reason they've had to roll back the desktop version as well.

Hi

I am on the UK site. I love the AI how it describes my items better than I ever could. And the ones I’ve changed were old listings which are now selling. 
But the uptake on the UK site is slow. 
Also got the same message AI failed to generate.
