2 step verification is not sending me a text message with a code

I was in the middle of listing some items for sale yesterday when the login box came up. I logged in and when the 2 step verification box popped up, I waited for a texted code that never came. I cannot do ANYTHING with my account. I entered into a chat with ebay and was told this is an issue that's being worked on.  Apparently it's still not fixed.  Is there a workaround? I cannot disable 2 step verification on my account, because it just wants you to login and enter the texted code AGAIN.  Anybody???

Are you able to verify that the code is being sent to the correct number?

Is there an option to have the code emailed rather than texted?

Are you able to use the eBay app to get to your account? Or possibly to sign in using Google or Facebook, if you have previously set that up? Do you have another device that might still be signed in to your account? If so you may be able to disable 2FA that way.

If the problem is with 2FA itself, and you are able to contact eBay and actually convince them you are the account-holder, you should be able get eBay to disable 2FA on your account for you.
