100% of my listings are not searchable for the first 24 hours

I understand that the system takes time to index for things to show up in searches, but previously it always took 3-6 hours usually and 12 at most. Now every single item I list it is 24 hours before it becomes searchable.

This excessive delay has to be because of a glitch on my account or some kind of setting, for everything to be consistently 24 hours. And when I compare with other people I know their listings show up in searches for me in less than 12 hours, while mine won't show for them for a full 24 hours.

This costs me money- if I pay for a 7 day auction and only get 6 days of visibility that means a lot of potential buyers. And when I list fixed price a whole day passes by when nobody sees items. In fact a lot of things I know sell fast I don't even try to list on eBay when I can list locally or on other platforms and sell a day faster, so these delays are costing eBay money in missed fees.

I know that not everyone sees a constant 24 hour delay on item visibility. So why am I?

Since we are all fellow eBay buyers and sellers, just like you, we are not really equipped to figure out the reason for that.  You might want to contact eBay and ask your question.

The same thing happened to me. Just opened a new account and put up 6 items.  I believe there is a 24 hour system timer on new accounts and new listings, especially ones that have been revised a few times to get things right. I pulled all my listings but one after I sold an item and found out eBay takes 13.25% right off the top and then has put a hold on my payout until Sept. 3rd. "Another new accounts policy?" Never had that problem with PayPal. Since they divorced PayPal, we small buyers and sellers have been sidelined on payments. They don't seem to care about customer service for the little sellers and cater to the buyers who just want to low ball everything. Letting them contact you even though offers is not enabled in the listing. It is true that an item won't sell if it is priced too high, but I can't afford to lose money because eBay charges an exorbitant seller's fee. Therefore, I have to jack the prices up and nothing sells very fast like it did in the old days. People went to eBay in the past to get a "deal" , but eBay just wants you to sell it so they can get their fees. They really don't care if you make anything. They really just want your item to sell for any amount so they get their 13.25%, which is high enough that they make money on volume no matter what the price. I'm going to close my new account as soon as they pay me and will probably go to Mercari, Facebook or somewhere else to sell the few things I have.  That's what it is all about. So long eBay. Your business model is a corporate wet dream and you have absolutely no real customer service.  Good luck "contacting eBay" about something they do not consider their problem. Been there done that.
