help with pottery mark "h" inside of parallel lines? hindra??

I recently picked up a nice soup tureen and some bowls. I cannot idenify the maker of this pottery. It looks like an h followed by a signature of some sort. It maybe an M, nothing comes up on google or ebay. I link to pics including close up of the H. Also the last pic shows the pottery in question it is quite colorful.

it is probably studio pottery which is nearly impossible to ID.  post photos directly to the board usig the photos icon, many readers will not use links.
