Is this Blenko or a Pilgri\m Glass I am confused.

Vase stands 11" high...has a smoothed pontil..Pilgrim and Blenko are the only two that come to mind, your thoughts...

A picture of the bottom is needed to confirm, but from what I can see, I don't think it is either.    It could be newer and out of Asia

The 2nd picture is actually the bottom.  Someone told me they thought it could be Rainbow Glass which I have never heard of

In my experience, most of the WV glass makers didn't polish the pontil on a regular basis, though there are exceptions.  Erickson is the only one that regularly polished out pontils, though some of their pieces can be found with rough pontils.

I'm not seeing a polished pontil, looks more like an unfinished / "broken" pontil, but it's not clear from the pic.

 

I do think this is WVA.  Another WVA company which closely mimicked Blenko was Bischoff (that's where I'd be leaning).  There are some old catalog pages from Bischoff in Pina's Crackle Glass.  I'll check if I get a chance.
