Help Identifying Limoges...

Hi, I've been looking for this Limoges mark or any information about the piece and can't find anything at all, if anyone has any reference books or knows anything I would really appreciate it! I'm wondering if the pattern is from the factory or if it was painted/made by a hobbyist.

looks like a decorating studio mark placed over the original porcelain makers mark.  It is not hobbyist work.

as for your question "I'm wondering if the pattern is from the factory ..."  There were dozens of different factories in Limoges, not just one.

What that means in price is you may never know the pattern name.  You will have to add that it is Limoges, but you do not know who  the designer is.  But it still is worth  something for what it is.  Had they left the old mark visible-you could at least find out what factory it's from.
