2 horses on a Vase identification help

I acquired this vase at an estate auction.  It came with a lot of other art pottery and some Italian pottery.  I cannot identify the artist.  The owner's son was doing the selling, said it was valuable but had no other information.  Anyone recognize the signature or the style?  I've spent hours looking at pottery pictures, and nothing comes close.

The hole is not going to help. Looks like it was a lamp or someone made it into a lamp.
