I know at least one or two of you live in Florida. I'm planning a trip there to look for a place to move to. Any thoughts on the Ocala area? Or how about Lakeland? Punta Gorda? I'm looking for a good place to live and also one that might have some flea markets etc. to buy stuff at. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, Diane

Hi Diane, It seems anywhere north of Lake Okeechobee has all kinds of flea markets, etc. Down here in the south, it's just a mess. I wouldn't recommend it. James in Florida City (aaaaaallll the way dowwwnnnn...)

Hi Diane, I've lived here for 13 years,so traffic has increased since then,mostly due to the highway,which has brought more people(and construction) to own town.We're not a tourist town,so we don't have that to deal with.I still love it,we're not far from the bigger cities,like Tampa,St Petersburg,etc...If you go to Google and do a search for Spring Hill Florida,it will tell you about our town.You can also look up any of the other places you were interested in.

Hi, I have been living in Mt.Dora, FL. Nice area but getting expensive, still some good buys in east Lake County. Ocala on other side of county. Weather ok, jobs (good paying) hard to find. We have Renningers Flea Market, kinda pricey but some nice stuff. Good hunting

Greetings from the Clearwater - St. Petersburg - Tampa area.... Pinellas and Hillsboro counties are very crowded and the land is getting pricey and very hard to find. Buy a place "out a bit" and in a few years you'll be in a big town! Been here since 95 and the traffic has gotten worse, much worse, construction everywhere! Schools are very overcrowded.. From what I have seen in publications down here, there are thousands of auctions/flea markets no matter where you are. The further north in the state you are (my sister in law is by Tallahassee), the cooler it gets in the winter, more like a real winter, but never cold enough for snow (rarely a dusting). That's my $.02 worth from an ex-Mainer who loves FL (if I could convince my parents and in-laws to move out to the less populated areas I would!!!)
